About this notice

This notice explains what personal information Route500 Scotland ("we", "us") collects when you visit route500scotland.com or buy The Complete Route500 Collection, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are the data controller for that information.

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

• When you buy: your name and email address, the product bought, the price paid, the date and time, and the payment confirmation from Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• When you contact us: whatever you include in the message and our reply.
• When you visit the site: technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, and — if you arrived from a Google advert and have accepted advertising cookies — the click identifier Google attaches to the link.

3. Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To deliver your order and provide support — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep records of sales for accounting and tax — a legal obligation.
• To resend links, answer questions and improve the plans — our legitimate interest in running the business well.
• To measure whether our advertising works — with your consent, given through the cookie banner. If you do not consent, Google receives only aggregated, cookieless signals.
• To send you news of new editions — only if you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe from any email at any time.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our instructions:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe is an independent controller for the payment itself; its notice is at stripe.com/privacy.
• LeadConnector (HighLevel) — hosts this website, our order system, customer records and email delivery.
• Google — Google Ads conversion measurement and, if you accept advertising cookies, remarketing. Google Maps opens when you use a Navigate link in a plan and is governed by Google's own terms.

Some of these providers are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where information leaves the UK we rely on the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or on the UK–US Data Bridge where the provider is certified. We do not sell your information.

5. Cookies

Essential cookies make the site and checkout work and are always on. Advertising and analytics cookies (from Google) are set only if you choose Accept All in the cookie banner; choosing Accept Essential keeps them off. Visitors outside the UK and European Economic Area are not shown the banner and advertising cookies may be set by default.

6. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for six years after the purchase, as required for tax. Support correspondence is kept for two years. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Technical logs are kept for no more than 13 months.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to [email protected]; we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Changes to this notice

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be sent to customers by email.
